Frequently asked questions

Do you offer in-person and online appointments?
Yes, we offer in-person and virtual appointments at any of our locations. Many clients benefit from utilizing both in-person and virtual appointments, adjusting as needed based on their symptoms and schedules.
Should I choose a psychiatrist or a therapist?
If you’re uncertain whether to book with a psychiatrist or a therapist, we recommend booking with a psychiatrist. Our psychiatrist can review your history, current concerns, and symptoms, then recommend a treatment plan which can include medication, therapy, or a combination.
Do you take Medicare and Medicaid?
We accept the majority of Medicare and Medicaid plans.
If I meet with a Physician’s Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, can they still prescribe medication?
Yes, NPs and PAs work under the direct supervision of an MD. They are able to prescribe the same medications that an MD would — it just goes through the MD for approval when it comes to controlled substances.
How much do appointments cost?
PsychPlus is in-network with most insurance, including Medicare and Medicaid. As little as $5 copay for many. We'll tell you what you will be charged before your first session.
